Event Day Info

Transport Options

Some of the event options will start a reasonable distance from the finish line at Gordon Spratt Reserve, probably further than what you’d like to walk or run as a warm up! So, we will be offering free event shuttle buses provided by Tauranga City Council to the start line of your event. Using this method of transportation, you can drive to the event finish line/event village area at Gordon Spratt Reserve on event morning, park your vehicle within the reserve ground (plenty of parking!) and catch a free event shuttle bus to your start line. When you finish your event your vehicle will be there waiting for you.

Shuttles to start line must be booked in advance by Wednesday 4th October. If you didn’t book a shuttle bus when completing your online registration, please login to your personal registration details through your registration confirmation email and add the transport item. Please Vanessa if you need help adding the bus to your registration.

Buses depart from Gordon Spratt Reserve, 80 Alice Lane, Papamoa Beach. We will have passenger lists at the 'bus stop' in the morning - no ticket needed.

Please ensure your race bag has the race tag sticker attached before you drop it off at the designated bag drop area. Any gear left at the start lines or discarded and left at any point on the course will be collected and donated to Charity. You must NOT drop any gear at aid stations or anywhere on the course for later retrieval.

Your official event gear bag will be transported to the finish line at Gordon Spratt Reserve from and will be available for you to collect when you complete your race. Please collect your bag by 5pm on Saturday 7th Ocotber 2017 before you leave the Event Hub. Any remaining gear will be donated to Charity.

Aid Stations

Well supported aid stations are located on course for all distances approx. every 5km. Aid stations will provide water and electrolyte sports drink, toilet facilities and first aid. Please refer to course maps for aid station locations.

We would love to have as many of your great supporters out on course and at the ï¬Ânish line as possible! Supporters and spectators are the ones who create the magic and give endless energy to an event and its participants.

To ensure your support crew, family and friends can see you out there on the event course and cheer you on, we have identified three great spectator viewing locations. A Spectator Map will be available closer to event day so you can familiarise yourself with the best way to get around the course as a spectator and the access points for spectators.
